Practice Leader
Stephen leads the Healthcare & Life Science team which focuses on senior management searches in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, Diagnostic, Life Science, as well as Healthcare Service sectors. Stephen has been in Japan for over 10 years, the last 5 of which have been in executive search for the Healthcare and Life Science industries. He has successfully filled retained and contingency assignments in such areas as Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Basic Research, Sales & Marketing, Business Development as well as back office functions.
Originally from Texas, Stephen received his Ph.D. from the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience from Texas Christian University where he researched behavioral and pharmacological effects on recovery of function following brain injury. Following graduate school, he came to Japan where he worked in Research & Development and the Fine Chemical Department of a leading Japanese food manufacturer. Stephen speaks fluent Japanese.
