Promotion Manager, US Pharmaceutical Company in Japan
This US-based pharmaceutical client is one of the major global leaders in the
industry that provides a broad range of medicines to people in order to support
and improve their quality of life
The client had established a new Promotion Department
to improve communication between the Marketing and Sales
Departments and came to CDS to assist them in finding a
strong Manager to lead this new department.
Generally, promotional activities are just one part of
the role of the marketing department, thus it was very
difficult to find the right candidate either because the
candidates preferred a broader scope of
responsibilities, or their experience in promotional
activities was too shallow. Through our strong network
throughout the pharmaceutical industry in Japan, we were
able to introduce the successful candidate with the
right mix of marketing and management experience within
two weeks.
This
being a new position in the organization, the interview
process was quite complex requiring approval at both
local and global sites. Despite the candidate’s
overseas business trip, we were able to coordinate all
interviews in a reasonable time period to result in a
successful placement.
This
candidate now manages 7 people and enjoys his challenge
to develop this new department. The client is also
extremely satisfied with the candidates’ performance
thus far and is looking toward this department to
strengthen growth in the Japanese market.
