Four Directorate Positions and Functional Management Positions, Pre-IPO Internet Start-up
An on going exclusive and retained assignment for CDS to fill all the Directorate positions in this pre-IPO Internet start-up that plans to go public in Japan, by the end of 2000. The client had virtually no market visibility, and part of CDS' strategy was to communicate to connected people in Tokyo's Internet/E-commerce community, the potential value and attraction of joining this exciting new portal business. Within a two-month period, CDS secured highly skilled candidates for four directorate positions, including the Managing Director. CDS is now concentrating on building the next level of managerial staff having secured the technical team to work with the client's technology partners. Part of the challenge for CDS was to ensure the client would have a cohesive, interdependent team that could add synergies and build on each other's skill sets and experience. CDS' relationship with the client has moved beyond just that of consultant. CDS is now an investor and partner.
