Country Manager, European high-end Apparel Brand Company
CDS was retained by a European high-end, urban apparel brand company to search for their new Country Manager. Working closely with the International Sales Director in their European headquarters, CDS was asked to find a candidate who could continue their growth through retail channels, as well as increase brand awareness and lead marketing initiatives. Most importantly this candidate would need to provide leadership and vision for the Japan office, and develop future business strategy with the International Sales Director.
Initially, the search was difficult due the strict language requirement and necessary skill set required for the role. However, using our extensive industry network, CDS identified a candidate who had previous experience introducing and developing similar brands in the Japanese and Asian markets. Although this candidate had moved on to focus on consulting work, CDS was successful in rekindling his interest in managing a brand business and successful completing the search.
