Country Manager, Leading Data Management Software Company
In late 2001, CDS was approached by the acting Country Manager of a leading data management software company to find someone to take over his CM responsibilities. The client had just emerged from 3 years of internal turbulence which had seen the entire Board of Directors changed, a re-focus into a new technology area, and the sale of a large part of their legacy business; all of which contributed to make this a challenging and interesting assignment. The client had re-branded, but was faced with the dual difficulty of a less than prestigious old name, and a new name, which most people outside their immediate technology sphere were not aware of. CDS task was to find someone who could drive sales in the short and long term, but also have enough industry presence and seniority to evangelize the new brand, and leverage locally several worldwide partnership agreements, which had been put in place.
CDS worked closely with local and regional management through several defining phases and ultimately introduced a candidate who not only met, but exceeded, many of their requirements.
